ILOILO City Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog said he is not against the transport summit proposed by Iloilo Gov. Arthur Defensor Sr.
“It can wait, however. We first have to find out if our present plans and efforts in the city will work or not. Let’s first install the traffic lights, look for real traffic experts to prepare a traffic master plan for us, and implement other present plans,” Mabilog said.
Mabilog said the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) prepared a traffic master plan and endorsed it to the Department of Science and Technology (DOST).
Until now, the DOST has not advised the city government about the plan, he said.
