GLENDA PUNZALAN, 39, and a mother of seven faced uncertainty when her husband passed away last year.
She was worried of her children’s education considering that she does not have regular work.
An occasional farm worker, her meager income was just enough for their daily subsistence.
But thanks to the PantawidPamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps), she is now able to send her children to school – one in the kindergarten, another in the elementary and three in high school.
Her eldest finished high school this year and is now helping her put food on their table.
“He quit school and is now helping me send his other siblings to school. Life is hard for us but somehow, the grant (4Ps) is easing the burden,” Punzalan said in Hiligaynon.
