KALIBO, AKlan – About 56.7 percent of females in Aklan completed an academic degree and 66.0 percent pursued post baccalaureate courses, according to the latest results of the 2010 Census of Population and Housing.

The figure is higher compared to males who finished a bachelor’s degree (43.3 percent) and those who earned a master’s or doctoral degree (34.0 percent).

But there were more males than females who attended or finished pre-school (51.8 percent), elementary (53.8 percent), high school (50.3 percent), and post secondary (50.5 percent).

Of the 477, 671 household population aged five years old and over, 34.9 percent attended or completed elementary education, 33.2 percent reached or finished high school, 7.8 percent were college undergraduates and 12.5 percent were academic degree holders.
