THE Police Regional Office (PRO-6) has begun public hearings on the proposed Implementing Rules and Regulations of Republic Act No. 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act).
Supt. Ledon Monte, Firearms and Explosives Unit chief of PRO-6, briefed gun store owners and enthusiasts, private security agencies, national government agencies, PRO-6 Operations Officers from the provinces and cities and other stakeholders in the region on the draft IRR during the Public Consultation and Hearing August 22 at Camp Delgado here.
Chief Supt. Agrimero Cruz Jr., PRO-6 director, thanked the participants who attended the activity and encouraged others who have not given yet their issues, concerns, views, suggestions, and recommendations on the proposed IRR to take them seriously.
Cruz said they had observed the seemingly unabated illegal gun-related problems confronting the community.
